Crash on load with dfgi enabled and GTX 650

When I enable DFGI in the .ini file it runs fine on my computer at home with a GTX 580 Ti. At work however with a GTX 650 the scene will crash on load and cause all GPU related processes to crash as well. Disabling DFGI allows the scene to load normally.

I am mostly curious if anyone else is experiencing this issue - I realize DFGI is a work in progress and still in its infancy. A fix, of course, would be great though :slight_smile:

If you’re getting a crash can you make sure to include you DxDiag, the call stack from the crash reporter window that comes up (copy/paste into a txt file and upload), along with your Machine ID?

I’ve not seen or heard of any other specific instances of DFGI causing a crash and without the information above it would be hard to say what is causing the crash exactly.

Some things to test also is whether this is happening in your project vs a blank project as well. This can sometimes narrow down if something in your project may be causing the hitch.

Sure enough a blank scene performs fine. I will run a report on the crashing scene and post the results.

I was never able to determine the source of the crash. Unfortunately I no longer .have the box at work I was originally working on, so I’m unable to provide a crash report
