How do I improve lighting and shading resolution?

1 - The shadows from the roof aren’t being cast onto the wall directly under where the roof/wall meet.

2 - Shadow doesn’t start at the corner - also how do I make these harder?

3 - Light from inside the houses pops through the bottom of the wall at certain camera angles/heights. The wall and floor intersect, so this shouldn’t be happening at all. Bug?

Any help would be appreciated. I’m still an UE4 noob - please be kind. :smiley:

Which lightmap resolution are you using for your meshes? Just type in a higher value.

e.g

  • 128
  • 256
  • 512
  • 1024
  • 2048
