Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

How do I set up an FPS camera?

I recently finished building a house in Maya (2016) and I wanted to walk around in it, as opposed to fly around. When I first made the level I chose for it to be completely empty, with no starter content, I like making the content on my own. Could someone tell me how to make a a camera controlled like how a first person game camera would?

Hello Cosmicness,

If you're looking to set up an FPS camera, your best bet would definitely be to go ahead and have a look at the First Person Blueprint template that is included with the engine. If you create a new project with this template and take a look at the FirstPersonCharacter blueprint, you will be able to see how the movement and camera are set up, and you can mimic this in your own project.

Have a great day!
