UMG rendering issue with oculus rift (4.8+)

Hello,

we are currently developing a VR demo using Unreal Engine and Oculus Rift DK2. To display text information (labels, status visualization, help,…) we use UMG widgets wich are duplicated on the screen. This worked fine until version 4.8.x. However, as we upgraded our project to 4.8 yesterday, we realized that using UMG widgets causes heavy rendering issues when displayed in the Oculus Rift or VR preview. An example screenshot of the “desired” look [1] and in VR preview [2] (just a sample project:

The question is whether this is a known issue and will (maybe) be addressed in a future version (I checked 4.9.1 - issue still persists or if there is a workaround for using UMG widgets in VR-projects.

Hello MTMU_TUDresden,

After doing a bit of digging I was able to find that this is a known issue (UE-16673) that has been submitted to the developers for further consideration. I will be sure to bump up the community interest for this issue. I have also provided a link to the original thread. You can use that link for future updates on this issue. Thank you for you time and information.
