Cannot disable screen space reflections.

Cannot disable screen space reflections. I have a post process volume that i set the intensity and quality to 0 for screen space reflections… it does nothing… the screen space reflections remain. Also the intensity value doesnt make them any more visible or less visible… it just simply does nothing…

Are you sure it is SSR and not the reflection from reflection captures you are seeing?

Im positive… i have lamps hanging off the ceiling for example… if i put them on the edge of the camera they will get cut off from the reflection… plus its got that whole grainy lookn screenspace reflection thing going.

Plus i find it odd that screenspace settings do nothing. I always wondered why the quality settings didnt make the reflection look any better… or worse for that matter… now its obvious somethings wrong.

Hey kurlyo3d,

In cases like these we could really benefit from some example screenshots illustrating the issue you are reporting. This way we can (hopefully) quickly determine the cause of the issue, and help you find a solution.

Would you also mind providing me some simple repro steps so I can follow what you are reporting?

Thank you,

I really have no repro steps to tell u …My map just has screenspace reflections![alt text][1]. 4.9 has brought so many glitches it hurts… Reflection view already doesnt work… its getting to the point where i cant tell whats a glitch and whats intended…

ssr_1 is with ssr off and showing it still has some… ssr_2 illustrates how i walked so those lights are off screen and the reflection disappears so its not reflection probe… ssr_3 illustrates… actually turning on ssr and seeing some extra reflections on the ceiling and stuff…

Its as though some reflections get disabled but not all from ssr.

So if you look at the ceiling and the road outside SSR is actually turning off. Translucent materials dont have SSR by default, you need to turn it on inside the material, which you havent done anyway by the looks of it. I dont know whats going on with the lamps appearing on the glass though. Can you provide a larger viewport capture of the first screenshot please?

Looks like that was the answer. The material had screen space reflections on… though odd how screenspace reflections are disabled in the scene yet the material still uses em because its checked on in the material.

Yeah. the materials overriding a value like that is kind of weird.
