Epic Games uninstall gets stuck on "Removing Applications."

I could not find a fix anywhere. When I run the newest installer for the Unreal Engine. It prompts me with this error:

I’ve tried everything. It just simply does not work.

Do you happen to have any additional info? Seems like you are attempting an install in the screenshot but your title implies you want to uninstall?

My Unreal Engine was not opening, so I proceeded to attempt to uninstall it in the program files and reinstall the 2.5.0 version, in which it prompted me with this. It is to my belief I need the 2.1.1 MSI installer in my Windows/Installer/ folder, but I don’t know where to get it, and there are no alternate methods of repair.

When trying to properly uninstall it in my program files, it prompted me with this:

(The re-installation was the originally uploaded picture in the main topic.)

I need to use the engine, I need assistance. I’ve been waiting for days.

Hi Doctor Law,

Sorry for your wait, I’ll be following it up with 0xDEADBEEF today, in the mean the more information we have the better.

For example could you go into more detail what you have tried so far.

It does seem like an odd issue. Perhaps a few more questions would help us figure out the root issue. Anything unusual happen to your original install folder and/or drive that may have caused your original install to not launch? Did your original install ever work? You had mentioned that your original uninstall got stuck, did this leave an entry for the launcher in your Windows Add/Remove Programs? Are there any launcher/engine files still in your original install location?

Hi Doctor Law,

We haven’t heard back from you in a few days, so we are marking this post as Resolved for tracking purposes. If you’re still experiencing this issue, please try the suggestion that Barnabas and 0xDEADBEEF mentioned above. Then post back here with the requested info.

Cheers,

TJ
