Changing Reimport FBX Settings

Issue:
When initially importing an FBX Static Mesh I am given an option to Import Materials and Import Textures.

After the initial import I have moved the Materials and Textures into their own directories (\Materials and \Textures).

Then I modified the Static Mesh in Maya, reexported, and then used the ‘reimport’ right-click menu option in the Content Browser.

The Reimport of the modified mesh was successful, but also then forced a reimport of the Materials and Textures back into the directory - which is not at all what I was expecting.

But if my initial Import of the FBX has Import Materials / Textures set to 0, then this issue does not occur.

Question:
Is there a way to modify the Import options of an FBX after the fact, so that the Reimport has different settings?
(ie: I no longer want Materials and Textures to be imported after the initial import).

Could you do another import (not reimport) of the same asset (same named X.FBX) and confirm - when the prompt asks if you want to overwrite the existing FBX?
