Why is my HDR image weird in the engine?

Hello

so I’m trying to use an HDR image as a background for my game, set in space
I create a material using the HDR image as the sky material is done

I also notice that in the image editor, it says, Max In-Game Size 512x512

but when I use it in the game mapped to a sphere it looks like blown out or blurred
see the image, left is the game, right is the HDR open in Photoshop.

HDR images are automatically downscaled to 512x512 in game for some reason, thats why you are seeing a blurry image. I heard someone mentioning that there is a way to set the in game HDR resolution in the source code so you may want to look into it if you can.
