Epic Games Launcher Won't Open: First error code (0xc000007b) then nothing happens

Installed the Epic Games Launcher. First time I tried to start it, I got the 0xc000007b application error. Reinstalled the launcher and manually updated direct X. Now I just get the “working” mouse icon, the epic games launcher flashes for a brief second in the processes and then disappears. No error or anything. I did a Dependency Walker log, not sure what exactly I am looking for though.

This error is usually caused by DirectX or your .NET Framework needing an update. Please take a look at this post and see if it helps fix the issue.
