[Bug] Convex Decomposition & Max Hull Verts

Reproduction steps:

  • Open any static mesh and open Convex Decomposition with the Collision > Auto Convex Collision option.
  • Set Max Hulls to 1.
  • Vary Max Hull Verts and click apply in between.

You will notice that the collision mesh will always get the same amount of vertices regardless of the setting. If you raise the Max Hulls option to anything above 1 the Max Hull Verts option works as expected.

Thank you for your report. We were not able to investigate this on the engine version you reported, but there have been many version changes to UE4 since this question was first posted. With a new version of the Engine comes new fixes and it is possible that this issue has changed or may no longer occur. I did a quick check and it seems to be fixed in both 4.4 and the 4.5 preview.
