Simple mesh, far more detailed outcome?

Hello! I have seen it before, where someone makes a pretty simple mesh (like just a dresser or something of that nature), with little to no detail besides specifying where the drawers would be. However, when it is finally rendered, it has a massive amount of detail, it almost looks real. Can somebody tell me what this process is called and maybe how to do it (I’m a little new). It’s kind of like bump mapping, but on a mesh not a texture.

For that you need to make a high detailed version of the model as well, and then bake that detail information as a normal map by using your modeling program or xNormal. So what you need to search and work on is normal map baking.

Thanks man i really appreciate it
