How to include JSON (or other) files in build

I’m not sure if this is a stupid question or not…

I have some data in json files which I’m reading in-game. However when testing on a mobile device I don’t know how/where to put those files as I can’t import then as an asset.
The data was originally recorded from the game and saved to the SaveDir. But this doesn’t transfer to the device. So I moved the JSON to the config folder, but for some reason my code couldn’t find it? I then tried it in the content folder, and while it loaded fine in the editor, it doesn’t on the device.

So how would I go about getting those pre generated JSON files on to the device?

All help appreciated.
