I’ve been persistently getting crashes after opening the same level a certain amount of times. I narrowed the issue down to a 3D widget and then all the way down to font size. This only happens in a packaged game. This is basically how I was able to reproduce it.
- Import a .ttf font.
- Create a widget blueprint.
- Add image for background.
- Add font on top. Z Order is set to 1. Set font size to 340.
- Create blueprint actor and add the widget component.
- Create 2 levels. Put the blueprint actor in one of them.
- The other level has to be the game default map.
- Package game.
From here when I open up the game I just use the console commands to open the other level with the widget. When in the other level I start spamming the restartlevel command and it’ll usually crash anywhere after the 4-6th try. I originally found this in 4.8, but it’s still in 4.9 as well.
Or maybe font size isn’t the issue and I’m doing something terribly wrong.
