Wierd errors in visual studio 2015

When i open visual studio i get the error in the picture linked and i don`t know what it is. When i compile it gives me the errors:

“A valid version of Visual Studio does not appear to be installed. TEST410 D:\Documents\Unreal Projects\Test410\Intermediate\ProjectFiles\EXEC”

and

The command ““C:\Program Files\Epic Games\4.10\Engine\Build\BatchFiles\Rebuild.bat” TEST410Editor Win64 Development “D:\Documents\Unreal Projects\Test410\TEST410.uproject” -rocket -waitmutex” exited with code 2. TEST410 C:\Program Files (x86)\MSBuild\Microsoft.Cpp\v4.0\V140\Microsoft.MakeFile.Targets"

What is this and how do i fix it?

Hello Scottyaim,

  • The error message looks like it may have something to do with not having VS 2013 installed. Try installing 2013 and see if that helps.
  • Double-check your Microsoft SQL to see if it matches the version shown on the error message.
  • Did you compile using the in-editor compile button? Some users are reporting this error the first time they compile using that button.
