Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

android pack problem

i have created a new third person project (only blueprint) and i have packed etc1, i have installed on my galaxy s3 the apk and put in the android/obb/com.epicgames.BattleUfos.obb/main.00001.com.epicgames.BattleUfos.obb when start the app i see a black screen 3 second ad the app close. why? sorry for bad english, i'm italian

we tried on Samsung galaxy s4, galaxy s5, galaxy note 3 - when they are connected to the PC and build directly to them - the application is working, if they are not connected and we build the apk files - copy to the devices - nothing works. Opens, thing for second (background freeze) and terminates. Any idea why is that? Also the building process is pretty slow. If you export to Android 2 planes with one chair or 50 boxes with 5 chairs - it is the same 16,5mb apk file + 2gb obb file. Any help?

Unfortunately the galaxy S3 is not currently on our list of supported android devices. You can find a list of the currently supported devices here: https://docs.unrealengine.com/latest/INT/Platforms/Android/DeviceCompatibility/index.html

The right settings including HDR unchecked, save as default and each of the texture compression settings tried?

Already done.

The texture compression settings aren't all that's involved.

Also tried relocating the obb for TappyChicken to Android/obb

This isn't the first post re: black screens or Galaxy.

Disable mobile hdr in the project settings (edit - project settings - rendering). Than try to Launch again.

Did you use the stock install .bat and what compression setting did you use?
