How do I rotate an animation from Cinema 4D so that it imports correctly in UE4?

If i import an Animation from Cinema 4D into UE4 the mesh that comes with it is imported correct but the animation is rotated by 90° I can do what i want inside C4D but it allways comes over with the wrong angle.

If i try to rotate the animation in UE4 it allways snaps back.

You can modify bone transform in Persona, but that isn’t saved. Originally that feature was supposed to test skinning, so it isn’t there to modify the source of the animations.

UE4 has Z-up, could you rotate it in Cinema 4D to go Z-up, and import?

Or do they have option to export using Z-up?

Thanks,

–Lina,

Rotate the root bone/joint to +90 degrees on P inside Cinema, then export the animation again.
