My system specs are as follows (Alienware assembled on 24th November 2014):
i7-4980HQ @2.8 GHZ (4.0Ghz turbo)
32GB RAM
8GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 880M
120Hz 3D-Full HD Screen
I play ARK Survival Evolved with barely 40 fps in Medium!!! Plus, I have to run the game on Low Memory Settings (4GB)…I have 32 GB of RAM!! Game crashes almost immediately after running it on Normal Mode.
A similar friend has another Alienware 17 (assembled on 20th September 2014):
i7-4700HQ @2.4 GHZ (3.5Ghz turbo)
16GB RAM
8GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 880M
120Hz 3D-Full HD Screen
And he plays ARK Survival at around 30 to 40 fps on EPIC and on Normal Mode perfectly fine, although he has lower RAM than I do.
Can I know what am I doing wrong here? Overclocking the CPU didn’t do as much, my drivers and all are updated.
PS: I have no sound in the game as well (I did everything possible to fix that, including reinstalling the game, verifying game files, even reinstalling windows 8.1 and updating drivers and so on), later on I knew that i get no sound in any game made in Unreal Engine. [Updating to Windows 10 didn’t fix the sound issue]
