How does it work royalts with another currency that isn't dollar?

I’m from Brazil and just started to use the Unreal Engine 4. Me and my friends besides the no support from out country are planning to start making some games and apps using the UE4. Here the actual currency is the Real(R$), and i’d like to know how will calculate if hits the inicial 3000 dollars.
And how it will work with games or apps that are free to play with the option to purchase something inside the program.

Sorry about my english
Thanks for the support guys
It’s are an amazing job what you guys do

PS: i always loved Unreal Tournament

This is very straightforward. You’ll simply need to convert the amount you earn into dollars. For example, if you were to sell your game for $10, that would equate to roughly 40 R$ (Brazilian Real). You can extrapolate from this.

To further clarify, you are only required to make a royalty payment after earning at least $3000 per calender quarter. If you don’t hit this amount, then you are not required, however.

Furthermore, if you decide to make a free-to-play game that earns money through advertising or in-app purchases, then certainly, you will be required to pay royalty fees to Epic. Because, understandably, this counts as revenue.

There are a number of instances were you will not have to pay any associated fees. However, these are non-commercial projects, for the most part. Further information can be found by visiting the two links before:
