Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Hairworks "Fur Strands Share Mesh" Error

I don't know if this is the best way to go about this solution, but I had this problem and I solved it, so I figured I would share my solution in a place that is easy to find.

If you had an error like this.. "X out of Y fur strands share mesh vertices with other lines. they will not be exported" When exporting out of 3DS Max, then you may need to turn off the "Show end result" button (the little shotgun shell lookin' thing) before exporting.

You can test by doing the Spline Duplication Check under the HairWorks menu.

I realize this is a redundant way to post this solution, but this issue was really frustrating until I found this option, so...yeah.
