Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Texture won't show up after importing

After I import a texture into UE4, the texture shows up in the content browser just fine. I then create a new material to add my texture to, which brings me to the Material Editor. I then created a texture sample node using my newly imported texture. Now for some reason, the texture sample node stays black while the details panel shows that my newly imported texture is there. The Preview window on the side still shows a blank ball as if I never added a texture. I even tried just adding my texture to any objects to see if it will show up anywhere, but it won't. Is there something I'm missing to add a simple texture to a material?

Did you connect the texture sample to base color?

Can you show us the setup of the material, as well as the texture viewer :)
