How can I make my Deferred Decal more visible?

I am trying to add a deferred decal to my level. However, decal is very dim inside of my building. If I put decal on exterior of building, it looks great. I have tried to raise intensity of lights, but even at very high levels deferred decal is dim. How do I get decal to stand out more?

You probably haven’t built your lighting. Click arrow next to build and select ‘build lighting only’.

I have attached a picture of problem I am getting. I have tried to build lighting only, as what suggested. I tried to put quality of lighting to production and I still get problem. I am not sure what I am doing wrong with my lighting, because blood on floor looks great if I put it on outside of my building.

Try changing indoor floor material’s parameters (roughness, reflection) - chances are outdoor floor texture is rougher and therefore it diffuses more when light hits it.
If that doesn’t work try changing decal’s parameters also. Things like metalness, roughness and reflection changes way light interacts with material.

I tried what you suggested by modifying roughness and metallic attributes. However, no matter how I modify them decals look same. In addition, I created a new deferred decal material to see if it was something in my decal. I just made a royal color only tied to base color on decal material. I still experience same problem. I also tried to change floor to same material that is on outside of building but it didn’t help either. This problem happens anywhere inside of my building and on multiple materials. I also tried to turn up radius of my pointlight in room. Attached is a photo of decal showing same issue.

Just posting to say i currently have exact same issue so i’ll be watching this thread but ive also posted onto polycount http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=133916 so keep an eye on that in case somebody answers there!

Hey DeadWalker,

Take a look through this post and see if anything helps:

Fixed issue entirely by changing mode in material to emissive. works perfectly fine now.

I had same problem & i found this tutorial:
