So, I recently was tasked with setting up a render farm of sorts with Swarm Coordinator. After following a lovely tutorial that laid everything out nicely(Tutorial: Setting Up Swarm for Multiple Machines | Brian Goodsell - Environment Artwork) the swarm coordinator was able to find the machines.
I have added red boxes to cover the ip addresses but that shouldn’t pose a problem to answer the forthcoming question. When I started to build the lighting only for a preview build from one of the remote computers, in this case X_Farm_001, my understanding was that swarm coordinator would populate with the machines that work together to render the light maps. As you can see from the attached file, however, no machines appeared after I started to build lighting only. Even when building everything, no machines appeared. To further assert that things seem to be connected correctly, I will also attach the log and the settings that I have applied to each individual computer(tripple checked by me and my coworkers to ensure that the values all match).
I was curious if there was something else I was doing wrong? I know that the swarm status won’t show up on the other swarm agents that aren’t the host but their logs should say that they are compiling or something. As you can see from the above image, it’s only initialized and not actually produced anything.
Any advice would be lovely and if any additional information is needed I would be happy to try and find it for anyone who is willing to assist. Thank you so much for your time and I hope to hear back from someone soon. Take care.
