Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Why the Content Examples need to be repaired?

Well, the screenshot shows the situation i'm currently having. All My Content examples ask to be repaired. When I press repair it hangs in queue indefinitely. Though I can open all of them from the Project Browser window without a problem. Could somebody explain to me why this is happening?

The third attachment is the log file

This happened to me when I moved the downloaded samples from %USERPROFILE%/Documents/Unreal Projects/ to another folder where I had saved my own projects. (I don't know about the repairing not working, I didn't try that). Resolved it by adding a symlink to the new folder (though now all my projects show up twice in the open project menu :p)

Hi aristides,

As melak47 mentioned, that repair link shows when the launcher could not find the uproject file in the directory that the project was installed to (MyDocuments\Unreal Projects..)

As for clicking repair causing it to simply get stuck "in queue" seeing your logs may help us identify this issue. Could you please zip up and attach the "Logs" folder found here:-

C:\Users\USER.NAME\AppData\Local\UnrealEngineLauncher\Saved\Logs

Thanks!
