Why can an account not access 4.9.2?

I am teaching a class in Unreal Engine 4 and I have a student whose account does not give him access to the 4.9.2 update when all other students are currently running it. I went on the same computer under his login, logged into my Epic account and it gave me access to 4.9.2. So it’s not the computer, it’s something with his account. This makes no sense, as he created the account the same way and at the same time as everyone else. Thoughts?

Hi Ben,

Just to make sure I have this straight, he can login to the Launcher fine, but he just can’t see that the 4.9.2 version of the Launcher is installed? If so, can he choose to install it once he is logged in.

Feel free to attach screenshots so we can see exactly what is going on.

He can log in to the Launcher, no problem. But he can only access 4.9.1 or 4.10 preview to install. 4.9.2 doesn’t show up. If he adds a version, the dropdown doesn’t give 4.9.2 as an option. I will see if I can get a screenshot of what I am talking about, but class is over so he may have gone. I’ll update when I find out.

Hi Ben,

Any update?

Ok. I finally got back in class with the student. I noticed that the 4.9.1 version that he was running had a Resume button associated with it. I ran the resume fully and when it was done verifying, it stated it was 4.9.2. So there you go. I assume that he’s having the same problem at home, so he will check that. Sorry to waste your time. Thanks for the feedback.
