Text actor rendering error

An issue has risen recently with some of my text actors. For some reason some text actors will display correctly but others will sometimes display a solid box. I’m not sure what’s causing this but of course it has to happen right at the end of the project. I’m working in oculus and the screenshot is of a dynamic text actor I’m using for a timer.

I think I found the issue and it has something to do with my quality settings. What seems to fix it is, at level load, set the quality settings. That’s it. I don’t change any of the values. I’m just using my default settings but manually calling console commands in a blueprint. After implementing this I haven’t had any problems.

I have a few questions for you that will help narrow down what issue it is that you are experiencing.

Quick questions:

  1. Can you reproduce this issue in a clean project?
  2. If so, could you provide a detailed set of steps to reproduce this issue on our end?
  3. Could you provide screen shots of any blueprints that are involved with this issue?
