Do we need the UE4 logo on startup?
so you know when you open an Unreal game you always see their logo. Does this have to be there or can we, the developer, disable it before shipping? (I know it can be disabled, but I wonder if there were any legal problems)
Thanks in advance :)
Unlike with a custom engine license, the subscription license does not come with a trademark license, so there is no requirement to display the logo.
If licensees want to display the Unreal logo, they can enter into a trademark license with us to do so. We plan to have a FAQ entry about this in the near future.

HI, we'll soon launch a new press center which will provide an organized way to access Unreal Engine logos, assets and style guides. In the meantime, you are welcome to access:
Please do not click above. Rather, copy/paste the full link in your web browser. We're working on resolving this formatting issue.
For static logos, download "Unreal_Logos_Style.zip" and for the animated UE4 logo, "UE4_Animated_Logo.zip."
FAQ page updates are on the way as well.
We've published our trademark license, logo downloads, style guides and such: https://www.unrealengine.com/branding-guidelines-and-trademark-usage
Sorry this took so long, everyone! Best of luck with your games.
