GPU acceleration for physics: does UE4 support or are there plans for it?

So, the last time I’ve seen debates on this, it has been more than an year ago. I couldn’t find accurate updates on this topic, hence I thought of asking here if UE4 does finally support GPU acceleration to be used on physics (from massive collision detection/reaction to gravity, cloth, etc). If not, are there any plans for doing so? I searched for it on Trello’s roadmap and didn’t find anything.

I have been doing research on collision handling and for modern performance-hungry games, it seems obvious that the future of physics calculation for many applications lays in the GPU multi-parallel processing power. Thus, it would be a shame to not be able to explore that fully with UE4.

Thanks for any clarification.
