Crash on startup after fixing blueprint's compilation errors

I’m having a weird problem. One of my blueprints is causing editor to crash on startup if I fix its compilation errors and then save it and restart the editor. It can be opened and edited without any problems otherwise.
I’ve attached the editor log and can PM the problematic project as well.
(I migrated the problematic asset and all of its references to a blank project and the same error still happens)

The editor crashes on startup if the startup map contains the problematic blueprint. Otherwise it crashes when I try to open that blueprint.

Hello,

Since you’ve been able to reproduce the issue in a new project, and it sounds like an asset-specific issue, could you zip that project up and provide a link to a Dropbox or Google Drive that I could access? If you’d like to PM it to me instead of posting the link publicly, you can do that here: https://forums.unrealengine.com/member.php?160394-Sean-Flint. Thank you.

I have been able to reproduce the crash, but it is not immediately clear what is causing your asset to fail to open. I’ve noticed that it seems to have something to do with the NPC character, as all of the blueprints containing that character also cause the crash (on my end, at least). I have entered a bug report, UE-23206, so that we can take a further look into the issue. Thank you for your report and for providing a test project.

Have a great day,

Sean Flint

This crash has been fixed in the 4.11 release by this commit. Thank you very much for following up on the issue.

Edit: This fix was unfortunately unstable and will not be in the 4.11 release. This is a high priority fix for 4.12.
