Should I buy this PC

Hey guys I need a new pc to run Unreal Engine and I wanted to know if I should buy this one.

Intel Core i7 4790K 4.0GHz Quad Core CPU, Enclosed Liquid CPU Cooler, 16 GB DDR3 RAM 1600Mhz
USB 3.0 , Samsung 5000GB SSD, Windows 8.1, Wi-Fi Adapter. 300MBPS Wireless N IEEE 802.11n
Nvidia GeForce GTX 960 w/2GB GDDR5, DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort
NZXT S340 Mid Tower Matte Black with Red Trim w/ 750w Power Supply,
Intel Z97 Express Chipset, Logitech Keyboard & Mouse

This page may help you decide.

But really, yes, those specs are more than enough to run Unreal Engine.

Although I’m guessing you meant a 500GB SSD, not 5TB.
I would recommend looking into buying a large storage drive in the future as 500GB is not a huge amount,
but this all depends on how you are using the PC.

Sounds like a very good computer, but what is the price? Maybe you could get something better for the money, or even get the PC cheaper via another source?

The price is 1,470$

Thanks for your help

I recently purchased the below for development with the following upgrades: 800W Power Supply, 256GB SSDF:

Also, purchased another 16GB of RAM on Amazon for a little over a $100, along with USB 3.0 WiFi connection.

The machine is amazingly fast editing my levels, build time is reasonable, and playing the release version of the game has been beautiful.

The case is a little on the cheap side, the on/off switch in the front panel needs a little attention, and it’s a little louder than my other machine. . .but my other machine couldn’t do anything.

So far I’m happy with my choice but it is still too early to provide a long term evaluation of it since I’ve had it for possibly a month now.

Hello JordanMersier,

These are our recommended specifications for running and developing with Unreal 4.

Take a look at this documentation and then try to assess what you can afford vs. the limitations of what hardware and software will optimally work for your development process.
