Landscape Issue

Hi all of u.
I found this interesting thing. When I create my landscape, my landscape filled by my material. When I started painted layers, the terrain started make full black area. And this is not the problem. The problem is:

I have few layers, like: Grass, Dirt, Rock, Sand. I started painted grass, then I add some rock area, and finally I want to add dirt. When I do this, my Landscape square painted in starter checker map and I have message: Compiling shaders(***). When it done, the landscape still in checker, and I cant painted that square. There nothing to use. previous grass, rock layers has no effect. How can I continuous work with my landscape?

There is a few screenshot.

I found the problem that causes this issue. The problem is: On one square cant be more than 2 material layers… Any suggestion?

Hello EvaFrise,

In the future please refrain from bumping your threads as we are handling issues as they are reported.

What you are experiencing is your texture samples exceeding that of the material and space that you are using and are painting on, respectively.

Steps to Fix:

1.) Go to your Material that you have assigned to your landscape.
2.) Go to “Each” of your Texture Samples.
3.) On “Every” Texture Sample, in their details, change the “Sampler Source” to " Shared : Wrap:
4.) This allows for more space to be sampled across one sample space as opposed to multiple samples being taken across different sample spaces.

A lot of thanks to u ! Maybe u know how can I ask or fill your documentation about that material hint? Cause I didn’t see your advice at docs.unrealangine.com
