    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog

licening terms for Arade devlopers

Dear Epic :

This is Pang from Wahlap HK. (Hong Kong)

We are Software Studios which development game for Arcades.

Thanks to the news regarding to new terms of the Unreal engine, we are very interested to develop games with Unreal to replace our inhouse engine.

And we would like to have a better understand of how would the licensing term be applied for our industry.

Would you like to assist us please?

We often develop games for single/multiple distributor( region dependent ) and sometime the Arcade machine has to go through multiple distributor with difference price tag before it delivered to an Arcade and finally for the player for coin-in.

Warm Regards, Pang

The subscription license permits use of UE4 to develop arcade games, and in fact, arcade games are exempt from royalty so you would only need to purchase a seat license for each of your developers.

However, unfortunately, we are not at this time able to enter into subscription licenses with residents of Hong Kong. We hope to resolve that in the near future.

If 19 $ licence is not enouth for arcade you might try custom licencing. I know Gulty Gear Xrd which is powered by UE3 is on arcade so it is doable
