Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

[Closed] Packaged exe will not run

Hi all,

Ive been using UE4 for a few months now over various versions and decided to upgrade my system. I'm using 4.9 and have installed the ue4 pre-reqs but i can't get any packaged exe to run from the Windowsnoeditor folder they just flash up for a second , dissapear then hang in the task manager which cannot seem to close them out. i have tried this on 4.9 and 4.10 on my own projects and sample projects. i have installed ue4 via the epic games launcher as i do not have any knowledge of C++ , github etc. the .exe's themselves will run from the binary folder within the content folder but im pretty sure they should run straight from the initial shortcut from Windowsnoeditor.

any help would be greatly appreciated

I'm with the same trouble, but according to the above question, tentatively I can run the exe by changing the project name into "MyProject" and repackaging.
