[BUG] 4.10 Hidden BSP brush blocks selection of other brushes behind it

Hi,

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Create empty map

  2. Place 2 BSP boxes next to each other

  3. Position the viewport camera in such a way that Box1 blocks view of Box2

  4. Hide Box1 from World Outliner

  5. Try to select Box2 in the viewport

Notice that Box2 can’t be selected in the viewport if the view is blocked by Box1(even though it’s hidden).

Additional info:

  • This doesn’t seem to happen to other types of actors that are behind the brush. For example, a static mesh can be selected through the hidden brush.

  • This happens both in Perspective and any of the orthographic viewports

I was able to reproduce this on my end and have entered a bug report, UE-23433, to be assessed by the development staff.

I dont think so, maybe in the version 4.11 they will fix that.

I just checked UE-23433 and it has been fixed internally. It is marked as 4.11, so keep an eye out for the release notes!
