Make controller rotate spring arm or camera only

I have a pawn with a spring arm and child camera. My player controller rotates the pawn, but when the spring arm length is long the free look rotation (right mouse click hold down) on the pawn messes up since the camera is no longer at the pawn’s pivot.

I want the free look to happen from the spring arm or camera’s pivot. Is there an example of this anywhere? Thank you.

I ended up ditching the spring arm. Spring arm is only good for like a mass effect style camera view when you’re in third person combat.
