Does Unreal Engine 4 run on windows 8?

Hi!

I’m considering getting unreal engine. My computer meets the other system requirements but my operating system is windows 8. So I’m wandering does unreal engine support windows 8?

The requirements clearly state “Windows 7 64-bit or Mac OS X 10.9.2 or later”.
Windows 8 will work fine.

That ‘or later’ can be interpreted as for the Mac OS X only. I believe a more clear description of the OS requirements is ‘Windows 7 64-bit or later 64-bit / Mac OS X 10.9.2 or later’

i see allot of problems with the launcher however, with answers like “when i upgraded to windows 10 it works fine”. Strangely enough I’m having launcher issues and cannot get the program running for windows 8 myself. Been posting everywhere and the answers seem to direct me to starbucks where i sit and stare at the wall, contemplating existentialism.
