Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Standalone Crash | Launch not possible

Hello,

I have the problem that I tried to launch my game on a different computer. After the game started the windows went black and just crashed. So I tried it on my other computer ... the same. I am not able to Launch the game, the editor does not crash only the game tough.

This is the error that occurs and I also attached the Log folder:

Can someone define what this error is about and how to fix it. Would be really nice if someone could help me

Deatroh,

Is this happening on all projects when you try to use standalone mode? Or is it one specific project? Did you update this project from one version of the editor to another?

This error only occurs at this specific project. I also converted it to the latest version, but this didn't solve the problem.

We recommend not converting projects unless you're copying them to the next version, because converting will overwrite your older version of the project. Copying the project to the next version of the engine does not overwrite the older version.

If this is happening on only one version of the project, then it's project specific. Was this happening on the original version of the engine that you started this project on? Would you mind providing me a downloadable link to your project in a private message on the forums for further testing?

So the error occurs in both versions. If you could introduce me in how to upload the project and how to write you a PM here I surely will give you access to my project. Thanks alot for your answer.

It's your HUD that's causing the issue. I deleted it from your project that you gave me and standalone ran without any trouble.
