[4.10.0] UMG ScrollBox Style

Setting a vertical (or horizontal) background image in the bar style will make the Normal Thumb semi translucent and bleed the background through the thumb.

On focus, the background returns to how it should be, behind the Thumb Image.

Hello .,

I have a few questions for you that will help narrow down what issue it is that you are experiencing.

Quick questions:

  1. Can you reproduce this issue in a clean project?
  2. If so, could you provide a detailed set of steps to reproduce this issue on our end?
  3. Could you provide screen shots of any blueprints or widgets that may be involved with this issue?

Hey Rudy,

I can reproduce it in a blank project and I’m attaching the project for you to have a look.

It looks like everything goes translucent when focus is not on.

Blank Scrollbar Project

After looking over the project that you submitted I was able to reproduce the issue that you are experiencing. Scroll bar widgets are set to becomes slightly transparent when they are not being focused. However, I have submitted a feature request ( UE-23838) to the developers to allow for more control over this feature that is implemented by default. I will provide updates with any pertinent information as it becomes available. Thank you for your time and information.

Make it a great day

I realize its been 3 years since this post but a solution currently is to increase the alpha tint on your thumb to 2… Yes make the alpha 200% and it will accomplish what you’re looking for.

Massive thanks to to someone who spent way way to much time figuring that out.
