Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Segfault when compiling first run shaders

When I upgraded to 4.10 from 4.9 I found I could no longer start UE4Editor. It gets to 35% and then crashes, seemingly while compiling the basic shaders it needs. 4.9 didn't have this issue and could be used fine on the same machine/os. I'm running Arch linux on an intel core i5 and unfortunately on the built in HD4000 GPU (I know, I know, but I can't afford anything better right now, and 4.9 would at least /run/)

When I followed the suggestion to enable some kind of verbose mode on shader compilation I got this interesting error:alt text

I'm going to go back to 4.9 for now, as I'm not sure what to do with this error. Mesa is upgraded to latest, but of course only gives OpenGL 3.3 features on intel. Is it possible that UE4 now /actually/ requires OpenGL 4?
