How to install UE4 on 64 bit windows folder?

Hi Thanks for making it free.

How can I install UE4 on a windows 7 64 bit when the Epic launcher defaults to 32bit folder options in windows.
I have moved the launcher to install in the 64bit folder in windows but seems to install again in the 32bit folder Windows 7.

Reason are i am having problems with Fmod plugin as this is 64 bit version installation.

I am not to sure if this needs to be in the 32bit folder and runs in 64bit,

Thanks in advance.

You can install the Epic Games Launcher to any folder with the exception of the Program Files folder on 64 bit machines(this is a limitation that we hope to fix up in the future). What problems are you having exactly? According to the FMOD UE4 integration documentation, you should not have to worry about the location of the Epic Games Launcher or associated UE4 engine. If I’m reading the doc correctly, it seems like you can have UE4 engine installed in any folder.

Thanks DeadBeef for getting back.

I have reinstalled UE4 directly on the Main C Drive.(No Program files folder)
I will set up FMOD up again and see how its goes.

The problem i had with FMOD and UE4 is that it cannot find any of the Fmod assets in the UE4 content browser.
I can see that i have installed the FMOD plugin correctly in UE4 and the documentation and plugin shows as normal.
Even thou i am manually copying the FMOD sound banks to my UE4 project folder it does not show up in UE4 content browser.(in fact it does not show FMOD folders or any folder that i add myself like audio assets in the content browser even when reloaded)

Any direction would be great dead beef thanks in advance.

Cheers

Dead Beef just adding to the previous details,
Im adding the build from FMOD its a folder named Desktop for some reason from the build of FMOD in my new UE4 content project folder but it still does not show the banks i have added from FMOD in the UE4 content browser.

I’m not very familiar with the FMOD setup beyond what is outlined in the documentation here and the video setup here. Perhaps you can compare your setup with the info outlined in those two resources. In addition to that, have you tried the FMOD support found here?

So, how do you download UE4 x64bit
