Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

are there gradient colors in the material editor?

i noticed in the metal cyber cube material from the gtfmaterials pack that the colors used for the green glow have a linear gradient color in the constant 3vector nodes. If i adjust the value this becomes a solid color, but the saturation can be adjusted. I dont see any options for gradient colors so how does this work? alt text

1 answer: sort voted first

i figured this one out, you can manually set the Value to a number higher than one, but you cant do this with the slider. There seems to not be any sort of gradient color, as the result of doing this seems to be the same as multiplying the constant3 by a constant.

as it turns out theres a function for it https://docs.unrealengine.com/latest/INT/Engine/Rendering/Materials/Functions/Reference/Gradient/index.html
