are there gradient colors in the material editor?

i noticed in the metal cyber cube material from the gtfmaterials pack that the colors used for the green glow have a linear gradient color in the constant 3vector nodes. If i adjust the value this becomes a solid color, but the saturation can be adjusted. I dont see any options for gradient colors so how does this work?

i figured this one out, you can manually set the Value to a number higher than one, but you cant do this with the slider. There seems to not be any sort of gradient color, as the result of doing this seems to be the same as multiplying the constant3 by a constant.
