Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Hi! I have Crash after Initialization.

My configuration in attachment. I'm tried to run older versions too: 4.9.2, 4.8.3, 4.7.6 - same problem.

Thank you for the information you've already provided. When exactly does this crash occur? Any details you can provide would be helpful. Is this occurring with a fresh project or only on a certain one?

It seems that the issue may be due to your Nvidia Quadro 5000 card. Could you provide me with the model number for that card or at least confirm that it is a 5000? I want to be sure that the DXDiag isn't just listing the series it's in.

Once I have this information, I'll be able to test a similar card (Most likely a Quadro 4800 FX) to see if I can reproduce the same problem.

Today I catched this message:

Display Driver stopped responding and has recovered.

This window appeared for a moment, after which the UE crashed again.

After that I reinstall video drivers many times, used versions of drivers from 2014 to 2015.11.4 - latest version, but problem is not resolved. I reinstall directX too. Nothing.

Ah, seeing that message means that the Display Driver crashed, which could be caused by a multitude of things and would cause the editor to close due to a lack of a display device. I'll look into testing the editor with a card similar to that and get back to you as soon as possible.

I finished testing for this crash on an Nvidia Quadro 4800 FX, closest card we currently have but was unable to get the crash to occur. To ensure that the issue isn't a heat issue, can you monitor your GPU heat/usage when you go to launch a project? Also, since you mentioned that the issue occurred after reinstalling Windows 7, could you try reverting your drivers to an earlier version to see if a new driver version is causing this crash to occur?

Hello matthew_clark.

After I press the button "Launch" in Epic Games Launcher I see Initialization window with progress. After that for a moment, a Project window pops up... and crash. But today after some attempts Project window is succesfully started and I started new project - puzzle game and in this moment I catched new crash:
