How to vertex paint lods ?

How do I vertex paint lods in engine ? I’ve imported my lods but they need to be vertex painted or they look very different to lod0

LOD painting is not yet supported. There is a feature request in with UE-8372, but it is backlogged right now.

If you’re importing your LODs in with your mesh and not manually importing them via the static mesh editor, if I recall correctly they should propagate any vertex painted changes down to the additional LODs.

Just to follow up on this, this still doesent work, and is very annoying. Yet another feature left unfinished which makes vertex painting in production quite useless. I have LODs imported in my meshes, I can paint verts in the editor, it paints on lod0, but doesent copy them across, not in the map placed static. There is a workaround to paint, export the mesh, project the verts and then reimport, but really, then whats the point of painting in ue4. As usual, NEARLY such a good workflow in ue4, except it doesent actually work!

Today we have UE version 4.13.2. When painting will be supported? Because without LOD painting, this this is useless?
