Hey MAkiNA_itmk

Rebuild the lighting for your scene and these lines should disappear. Let me know if this resolved your issue, or if you need additional assistance.

I also noticed you added the Landscape Grass Type to the tags of this post, and just for your own information if you plan on using this foliage feature, it currently does not support Static (Baked) Lighting. We are working now to have this feature implemented at some point for an upcoming release.

This means, if you want to have accurate lighting and shadows for your foliage landscape grass type assets, you will want to set your Directional light to Stationary (Supports Static and Dynamic Shadows), or Movable (Fully Dynamic).

Let me know if you still need further assistance.

Thank you,

Thank you for your help.

actually, the bug is not about the lines, yes you are right, to solve the lines, we need to rebuild to lighting.
but this is a different thing, some landscape components are dark, and sometimes it is impossible to paint/sculpt above those specific dark components.

actually i tried couple of things, remove a component and add it again, but it didnt solve the problem.
however, messing with the skylight, i noticed changing it to movable, or deactivate its shadow casting, did solve the problem.

so basically this is what i did.

and forget about the grass, its a mistake.

but i need to know what kind of lighting i should use ? stationary or dynamic ? since i am working on a small scene for my studies.

here’s a screenshot of the actual level, i need to have a good sunset ambient lighting. so any suggestion ?

I personally like to use a a ‘Movable’ skylight as it is fully dynamic and provides the highest visual quality. It also allows for short iteration times when modifying your level when used in conjunction with a ‘Movable’ Directional Light and forcing pre-computed lighting off.

You will have a slight performance hit, but if your scene has proper culling, and not everything is casting a dynamic shadow, then you can optimize your project. and you won’t see much of an impact on performance.

Cheers,

problem solved as i turned the skylight to movable.
Thank You again
