[Perforce] Unreal Engine 4 UI persisting I have a file checked out, cant revert it either. Bug?

Unreal Engine 4 keeps showing a map as checked out, but I did not make any changes, since I knew my friend was going to edit it, and it’s also not showing as checked out in P4V (Perforce client).

And when I thought “screw it” and tried to revert my “changes”, it just doesn’t work either. Though, no error, nothing. It just loads/syncs for a moment, but still showing the file as checked out afterwards.

It seems like an Unreal Engine (UI?) bug to me, especially since its not showing as checked out in P4V.

Syncing the map and its folder or restarting Unreal Engine does not fix it.

Check to make sure you don’t have multiple workspaces. It could be you need to swap your workspace in P4 to see the changelist. WHen you mentioned reverting are you doing that through the Unreal Editor or the Perforce Client directly?

I think the Problem is solved:

No, we only have one workspace, and yes, I was doing the revert in the Unreal Editor.
However, I checked P4V again, and it seems that MY FRIEND still has the file checked out.
So instead of telling me that the file is checked out by someone else, it just shows that red tick “✓” as if it was checked out by me. Would be useful if we could have a clear way of signaling when somebody else has the file checked out.
And I could swear that it wasn’t marked as being checked out in P4V when I checked before making this post…
