Using Blueprintable Components for Game Behavior,, help?

I watched this YouTube video, and I would really like to learn more about how to setup a game like this, and to use Blueprintable Component, I’ve searched but can’t find any good basic instructions or videos.

I’ve been doing a tutorial that shows how to change the color of a cylinder when it’s shot, it works as a regular BP but I can’t make that work as a Blueprintable Component so I can drag it onto other objects, similar to what is done in the video. thank you!
