iOS Distribution Packaging Problems

Hello,

I’m currently running into errors with iOS and packaging my game project. In the project settings → packaging, when I hit “For Distribution” and compile through the project launcher directly onto my iPhone/iPad, all goes fine. However, soon as I try to test the app to make sure it’s all good, the app will automatically close on me.

Turning this off and launching through the project launcher on both Shipping and Development seem to work fine. I have the correct provisioning files for both and the project launcher never seems to come up with any errors about any of that.

What could possibly be going wrong here?

Could you please provide me with the full error ? You can attach them as a .txt file to your next reply. I want both the from the editor and the from your device. If you’re not sure how to get the off of your device, please follow this [link][1].

Hi ! Thanks for the prompt reply.

I actually started a thread [here][1]. In the thread I stated that I was never able to actually generate any from the device… I have tried retrieving them from both a windows using iPhonePackager and also on a Mac using xcode. The app simply stops working and goes back to the main screen while its on the splash screen. Since then I went through the entire process of moving the project onto a mac and getting it uploaded to iTunesConnect to download through TestFlight, all in all it results in the same problem still.

As for the from the editor, which log do you want exactly? The compiler log?

I see that you’ve been able to resolve this on the forums. Thank you for providing the answer within the forums. I see that you ‘Unchecked’ the “Use PAK File” within the packaging settings.

Please let us know if you run into any additional complications.

Thanks ! I sure will.
