Oculus Rift Fixed HUD

Hi guys,

Firstly, I’m sorry if this has already been asked.

For my final project at university, I’m looking to create an interactive environment using Oculus Rift (DK2). I’m planning on having the playable character wearing a helmet so when you’re wearing the Oculus, you’ll get the sense that you’re inside a space suit. However, I’m wondering how I could get this to work.

I’m unsure whether I’ll need to use a plane that’ll be placed in front of the camera that will have all of the information on it - such as oxygen levels etc - or if I should model these as actual 3D assets and have the helmet containing the whole camera?

Ideally, I’m after this sort of layout and was wondering if it’s actually possible to incorporate with Oculus? -

Long time has passed and you receive no answers. Have you found a solution for this ?
