Hello, I have been using Unreal Engine for awhile now, even back when it required a subscription. After trying to boot it today it gave threw me errors on not being able to connect to Epic, or something similar. Since my projects were kind of a mess anyway, I decided I would do a complete uninstall of the engine, launcher, all of it, and start fresh today. I downloaded the installer from Unreal, it launched, did some setup, and then when it launched Epic Games Launcher, it just gives me a small window that says Please Wait on it, it has sat here for about an hour, so I know something is wrong. I cannot really do anything from here, I have tried uninstalling the launcher and reinstalling, nothing is working and it is very upsetting cause I was pumped to spend some free time in Unreal. Any help would be appreciated,
Thanks,
Hi IndieMantke,
Try the troubleshooting steps in this section of the troubleshooting guide. Specifically, if you have a firewall, please allow the following exception:
xmpp-service-prod.ol.epicgames.com port 5222
If nothing works, follow the steps here to generate your Debug Logs. Post them here, along with your Dxdiag/system specs.
