Matinee 4.10 - render movie settings - resolution cap?

I noticed that in matinee’s new dialog for render movie settings, the custom resolution is capped at 7680. Whereas before I could just type in a number and it would either render or crash (if the number was too high). Is there a way to bypass the cap since I need to render something at a higher resolution than 7680?

Thanks!

Hello The_Distiller,

There is currently not a way to a manually enter values through slate. Although, 8k is what 7680 is rendering at which is twice the resolution of 4k monitors. I am curious to know what you are rendering. Even if you did enter a higher value most of that detail would not be seen on the screen. However, you can change the ceiling of these values by navigating to where Matinee calculates it’s renders and change this value to something higher.

Hey . I need to output a sequence for projection on a low but long wall and not a monitor. Hence the extreme resolution.

Why don’t you check your projector’s resolution? In common cases, even high-end projectors’ resolution wouldn’t exceed 2K.

It’s for a client who has a special projector setup.

The ceiling values within matinee are not adjustable without modifying code.

Hello everyone, I need too increase matinee resolution up to 8192 px. Do you know where I can modify this settings inside code please ? I looked for it but I didn’t find anything with the automatic research. And for explanation : it’s a video project for a planetarium dome and I really need to increase resolution to 8K, maybe more…

Hello, do you know where I can modify this settings inside code please ?

I found this settings inside code : FMovieSceneCaptureSettings0
